First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a simple aluminum splint to standard pain relief can reduce pain for adults with a suspected wrist fracture in the emergency department. About 120 participants with moderate to severe pain will be randomly assigned to get a splint or not. The main goal is to see if the splint lowers pain scores and the need for extra pain medication.
