First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a spirulina-based product can prevent severe esophagitis (painful swallowing) in 70 esophageal cancer patients receiving radiation therapy. Participants will take the supplement during treatment to see if it lowers the chance of needing strong painkillers or a feeding tube. The goal is to make radiation safer and more tolerable.
