Summary
This phase 2 study tests whether spironolactone, a drug already used for fluid retention, can improve exercise capacity and blood vessel function in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). About 70 adults with PAH will receive either spironolactone or a placebo for 24 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in walking distance and heart-lung function to see if the drug reduces inflammation and vessel damage.
