NCT ID NCT05944250
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested a portable device that creates a temporary, nanofiber skin dressing to help heal wounds in people with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB), a rare genetic condition causing fragile, blistering skin. Six participants with at least six chronic wounds each had some wounds treated with the matrix and others with standard care. The goal was to see if the matrix helped wounds close faster and was safe to use.
