NCT ID NCT07232836
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at why the spinal canal narrows in some people, focusing on how inflammation from nearby fat tissue may cause thickening of spinal ligaments. Researchers will collect tissue and blood samples from 100 patients undergoing back surgery—50 with spinal stenosis and 50 with a herniated disc (control group). The goal is to find biological markers that could help doctors monitor disease and guide future non-surgical treatments.
