Summary

This Phase 2 trial tested a drug called spesolimab (BI 655130) in 51 adults with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). Participants received either the drug or a placebo intravenously. The study measured how much eczema severity changed over 16 weeks using the EASI score, and also tracked side effects. The goal was to see if the drug is safe and effective for treating this chronic skin condition.
