Scientists hunt for biological clues to severe childhood eczema
NCT ID NCT03849716
First seen Jul 06, 2026 · Last updated Jul 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at children with eczema (atopic dermatitis) that is not well controlled by prescription creams or for whom such creams are not advised. Researchers are collecting blood and cheek swab samples to find biological markers (biomarkers) that may be linked to how the disease changes over time, how severe it gets, and how well different treatments work. The goal is to better understand the disease and potentially guide more personalized treatment decisions in the future.
