First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested two different manual therapy approaches for people with rotator cuff syndrome, a common cause of shoulder pain. Sixty adults aged 30-60 with shoulder pain lasting over 3 months were split into two groups. One group received the Spencer technique plus standard physiotherapy, while the other got mobilization with movement plus standard physiotherapy, both for 6 weeks. The goal was to see which method better reduced pain and improved shoulder movement.
