Can we speed up insulin? new study aims to improve diabetes control

NCT ID NCT07090824

First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study is testing two experimental insulin formulas to see if they work faster than a current insulin (Lyumjev) in adults with type 1 diabetes. Twenty participants will receive each insulin after a meal, and blood samples will be taken to measure how quickly the insulin peaks and clears. The goal is to find insulins that work faster, which could help people using insulin pumps manage their blood sugar better without needing to dose before meals.
