Can a computer predict who benefits from seeing their speech?
NCT ID NCT07530900
First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at how people use hearing versus physical sensation when they speak. Healthy adults aged 18 to 45 will complete speech tasks where their hearing is altered through headphones, sometimes with a visual display of their speech. A computer model will estimate each person's reliance on hearing, and researchers will test whether this predicts who benefits most from visual feedback.
