Summary
This study adapts and tests a Spanish version of eTIPS, an early home-based therapy program for infants at risk of unilateral cerebral palsy after perinatal stroke. The program involves parent-delivered activities integrated into daily routines. The study will enroll 20 families to assess feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effects on infant development.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
eTIPS (parent-delivered home-based therapy program)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a culturally adapted early therapy option for Spanish-speaking families, potentially improving motor development in infants at risk of cerebral palsy.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study (20 participants) focused on feasibility, not effectiveness. The intervention may not show clear benefits or may be difficult for families to implement consistently.
