First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing whether a wrist-worn device called the WAVwatch 2.0, which plays calming sound frequencies, can help reduce stress and anxiety in adults. Researchers will recruit 100 participants and measure changes in stress, anxiety, and life satisfaction using standard questionnaires. The goal is to see if this non-invasive, drug-free approach can support mental well-being.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
WAVwatch 2.0 (wearable sound frequency device)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple, non-drug way to manage everyday stress and mild anxiety.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with no control group, so results may not be conclusive. The device may not work for everyone, and people with skin sensitivities or auditory conditions are excluded.
