New drug aims to strengthen failing hearts in lung disease
NCT ID NCT06658522
Summary
This study is testing if a newer drug called sotatercept can improve how well the heart pumps in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a serious lung and heart condition. Twenty adult patients with PAH will receive injections of sotatercept for 24 weeks. Researchers will use heart scans and pressure measurements to see if the drug helps the heart work more efficiently than current standard medications.
