Could a simple rice swap help stop diabetes?
NCT ID NCT07298304
Summary
This study tested if swapping white rice for sorghum rice for one week could help people with prediabetes. Researchers studied 26 police officers with prediabetes, having half eat sorghum rice and half eat white rice. They measured levels of leptin, a hormone related to appetite and blood sugar control, before and after the week to see if the grain change made a difference.
