NCT ID NCT00494182

First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a three-drug combination (sorafenib, carboplatin, and paclitaxel) in 48 people with head and neck cancer that had spread or returned. The goal was to see if the combination could shrink tumors or slow cancer growth. Researchers also looked at how long the benefit lasted and studied certain markers in the blood and tissue to better understand who might respond.
