Robot companion eases stress in rare disease families

Summary
This study tested whether a social robot named PARO could help children with rare diseases and their parents feel less anxious and stressed, and improve their relationship. Fourteen families completed four sessions where they interacted with the robot together. The goal was to see if this approach was acceptable and helpful for families facing rare diseases.
