Facebook friends could save your life: new program helps kidney patients find donors
NCT ID NCT03099434
Summary
This study tests whether training and a Facebook app can help adults with kidney failure find a living person willing to donate a kidney. It compares two new approaches against standard care to see which is better at increasing transplant rates. The goal is to help patients who are on the transplant waitlist but haven't yet found a potential donor.
