First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding social cognitive training—like learning to understand others' viewpoints—to standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps teens with depression feel better. About 82 teens aged 13-17 will be randomly assigned to either enhanced CBT or CBT alone. Researchers will measure changes in social thinking skills and depressive symptoms right after treatment and again 6 months later.
