NCT ID NCT05456035

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding social cognitive training to standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps teens with depression more than CBT alone. Researchers will enroll 82 youth aged 13-17 who are currently depressed. Participants will be randomly assigned to either enhanced CBT that teaches perspective-taking skills or standard CBT, and improvements in both social thinking and depression symptoms will be measured after treatment and at a 6-month follow-up.
