Summary
This small pilot study looked at whether giving snacks to preschoolers changes how many calories they eat overall. Twenty children aged 3 to 5 were given snacks either as part of their daily calorie needs or in addition to them. Researchers measured total calories from food and drink over three weeks. The goal was to better understand how snacking influences energy intake in young children.
