First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether sending text message invitations increases colorectal cancer screening among 45-49 year olds. Over 6,700 residents were randomly assigned to receive either a text invitation or standard notification. The study tracked who completed a fecal occult blood test within three months. The goal is to find simple ways to improve early detection.
