New hope to break Smoking's grip on HIV and TB patients
NCT ID NCT05842161
Summary
This study is testing a new support program designed to help people in South Africa who have HIV and/or tuberculosis (TB) quit smoking. The program, called QUIT-AD, combines counseling and support to help people stop smoking and also stick to their important HIV or TB medications. Researchers will work with about 86 participants to see if the program is practical, acceptable, and shows early signs of helping people quit and improve their health.
