First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a spinal injection of morphine before robotic kidney surgery helps patients feel better the day after compared to a lidocaine drip during surgery. About 220 adults having robotic upper urinary tract surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the two pain relief methods. The main goal is to see which approach leads to a better recovery experience, measured by a patient wellbeing questionnaire.
