First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested a program called Smile Smarts-PK, where teachers in Pakistani schools gave oral health lessons to students aged 10-15. The goal was to see if this approach could improve how well kids clean their teeth. Over 4,000 students from 40 schools took part, with half getting the lessons and half continuing as usual. The study measured plaque and overall oral hygiene after 12 months.
