First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding realistic smells to virtual reality (VR) scenes is a safe and acceptable way to study alcohol cravings in people with alcohol dependence. Researchers will have 20 participants experience VR environments with alcohol-related scents and measure their reactions. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and tolerable, not to treat the condition.
