Can your phone help control Crohn's? new app trial for teens

NCT ID NCT07195123

Summary

This study is testing whether a smartphone app called SMART-IBD can help teenagers with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) stick to their medication schedules and manage their symptoms better. Researchers will compare 35 teens using the app—which includes medication reminders, symptom trackers, and educational content—to 35 teens who only track their symptoms in a diary. The goal is to see if the app improves medication adherence and disease management over a 5-month period.
