Can a smartphone app boost daily functioning for veterans in opioid recovery?

This study is developing and testing a smartphone app called ACT to RECOVER, designed to help veterans receiving medication for opioid use disorder improve their daily functioning and quality of life. The app is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a well-supported approach that helps people live according to their values despite challenges. The study will first gather feedback from veterans and providers to refine the app, then test it in a small pilot trial comparing it to a symptom-monitoring app. The goal is to see if the app is acceptable, usable, and shows promise for improving outcomes like quality of life and reducing opioid use.
