Computer alerts aim to stop ventilators from harming Patients' lungs
NCT ID NCT07307066
Summary
This study is testing if a computer system that gives doctors real-time feedback can help them better protect the lungs of critically ill patients on breathing machines. It will compare the new alert system to standard ICU care in over 200 patients with severe breathing problems. The main goal is to see if the alerts help doctors keep ventilator settings in a safer range more consistently.
