Laser plus drops: a new combo for glaucoma?

NCT ID NCT06819046

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at 70 people with mild to moderate glaucoma or high eye pressure. All received a laser treatment called selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT). Afterward, half used Rocklatan eye drops and half used artificial tears. The goal was to see if Rocklatan lowered eye pressure more than artificial tears. The study is complete, and results will show if the combination works better.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Rocklatan (netarsudil and latanoprost ophthalmic solution)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a better way to manage glaucoma by combining laser treatment with medicated eye drops.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-site study with only 70 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The improvement might be small or not meaningful in the long run.
