First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether a smartphone-based exercise program is practical and acceptable for adults aged 40 and older with a reduced sense of smell (hyposmia). Participants will be randomly assigned to either a full-dose program aiming to double their daily steps or a low-dose control aiming for a 10% increase. The study does not test whether the program improves smell or health; it only checks if people can stick with it over 18 months.
