Sleep fix could be key to beating breast Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT05887297
Summary
This study tested whether a short course of talk therapy for insomnia could help breast cancer survivors take their hormone-blocking medication more consistently. Poor sleep is a common side effect of this essential medication, which can lead people to skip doses and increase the risk of cancer coming back. Researchers gave 35 survivors either four weeks of online group sleep therapy or put them on a waitlist, to see if improving sleep helped them stick to their treatment plan.
