Sleep pill could help veterans overcome trauma fear

NCT ID NCT06788522

Summary

This study is testing whether a common sleep medication (suvorexant) can help veterans with PTSD and insomnia reduce their fear responses. Researchers will use a home-based training program where veterans learn to face fear triggers in a safe way while taking either the medication or a placebo. The goal is to see if the medication makes this fear-reduction training more effective and longer-lasting.
