First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether improving sleep habits can help teenagers with overweight or obesity better control their blood sugar and energy use. Researchers will enroll 60 teens who sleep less than 7 hours on school nights. Participants will first follow their usual sleep schedule for two weeks, then try a sleep plan that includes more time in bed, melatonin, and morning light. The goal is to see if better sleep can reduce the risk of diabetes and other health problems.
