Breathing machine tested as key to faster stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT04130503

Summary

This study is testing if using a positive airway pressure (PAP) machine to treat sleep apnea can help people recover better after a stroke. Researchers will compare recovery in 180 stroke patients who use the PAP machine to 180 who receive usual care. The main goal is to see if this treatment improves patients' ability to perform daily activities and their overall quality of life after a stroke.
