Doctors map risks for Kids' breathing after common sleep surgery
NCT ID NCT05308108
Summary
This study aimed to better understand and manage breathing problems that can occur in children after surgery for obstructive sleep apnea. Researchers observed 132 children who had their tonsils and adenoids removed to see how often these complications happened and what factors, like age or other health conditions, might increase the risk. The goal was to gather information to create clearer safety guidelines for monitoring children after this common procedure.
