NCT ID NCT04114084
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at sleep apnea in people with MGUS or multiple myeloma, two plasma cell disorders. Researchers will collect bone marrow samples during routine biopsies to compare gene activity in patients with and without sleep apnea. The goal is to understand if sleep apnea influences the bone marrow environment and disease progression.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could reveal how sleep apnea affects bone marrow in MGUS and myeloma patients, potentially pointing to new ways to manage these conditions.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It is early-stage research that may not lead to direct clinical changes. Results depend on accurate data collection and may not apply to all patients.
