Sleep apnea study aims to track 1,000 patients for better care
NCT ID NCT06514482
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will follow 1,000 adults in Spain who are suspected of having obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and daytime sleepiness. Participants will undergo standard sleep tests, blood pressure monitoring, and fill out questionnaires about their quality of life and sleepiness. Researchers will track their health and treatment adherence for up to 2 years to learn more about the condition and how it is managed in real-world practice.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this registry could provide real-world data to improve how sleep apnea is diagnosed and managed, especially for patients with daytime sleepiness.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly test a new therapy. Results may be limited by the specific Spanish population and routine care variations.
