Nightly neck massage may flush toxic brain waste during sleep

NCT ID NCT07301762

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Disease control Sponsor: Mayo Clinic Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This small Mayo Clinic study is testing whether a nightly automated neck massage device can help improve the brain's natural waste-clearing system in people with treated sleep apnea. Researchers will measure changes in blood markers linked to brain health and sleep quality after one month of using the device. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach could potentially reduce future risks of memory problems.
