New skin spray may heal moisture wounds faster in hospitals

NCT ID NCT06178289

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a special skin protectant spray (3M Cavilon Advanced) can heal partial-thickness wounds caused by moisture (like from incontinence or stoma leaks) faster and with less pain than usual hospital wound care. About 36 adults in hospitals will be randomly assigned to get either the new spray or standard treatment. Researchers will take daily photos to track healing over up to 21 days.
