First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a weekly skills group is practical and helpful for teens aged 13-18 who are at clinical high risk for psychosis. The group combines two types of therapy to teach coping and social skills. Researchers will track attendance, satisfaction, and quality of life over 6 months in 30 participants.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Skills group combining cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a practical, low-cost way to help teens at risk for psychosis manage stress and improve daily life.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early feasibility study with only 30 participants. It is not designed to prove the group works, only that it can be run. Results may not apply to all teens.
