First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding the drug sivelestat sodium to standard clot-removal treatment helps people recover better after a stroke caused by a large blockage in the brain. The drug aims to reduce brain inflammation and damage after blood flow is restored. About 868 adults aged 18-80 who are eligible for clot removal within 24 hours of stroke symptoms will participate. The main goal is to see if more people achieve independence (no disability or mild disability) 90 days after treatment.
