First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested the drug sirolimus in 7 people with idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (iMCD), a rare condition where the immune system causes swollen lymph nodes and severe symptoms. Participants had already tried other treatments without success. The goal was to see if sirolimus could improve symptoms like fever, fatigue, and weight loss, and shrink lymph nodes. Results are being tracked over several months.
