Could an MS pill slow Alzheimer's brain shrinkage?

NCT ID NCT06639282

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called siponimod, already approved for multiple sclerosis, can slow the progression of mild Alzheimer's disease. About 105 participants will take either the drug or a placebo for one year, followed by a six-month observation period. The main goals are to see if the drug is safe for people with Alzheimer's and if it can slow the rate of brain shrinkage, which is a key sign of the disease.
