Summary
This study looks at whether sipping water or a carbohydrate-rich drink while waiting for a planned C-section is safer and leads to a better recovery. About 190 women will be randomly assigned to one of the two drinks. Researchers will use ultrasound to check stomach contents and ask women about their recovery the next day.
