First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests a new treatment for chronic sinusitis, a long-term sinus infection that doesn't get better with standard care. Researchers will take healthy sinus microbes from a screened donor and transfer them into the sinuses of 80 patients, after a special sinus wash. The goal is to see if this can restore a healthy sinus environment and improve symptoms like pain, congestion, and loss of smell.
