Could one insulin shot a day be enough for gestational diabetes?

NCT ID NCT07171684

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a single daily dose of long-acting insulin can control blood sugar as well as the usual regimen of long-acting insulin plus mealtime insulin in pregnant women with diabetes. About 176 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two approaches and will share their blood sugar logs weekly for dose adjustments. The goal is to simplify treatment while ensuring safety for both mother and baby.
