2-Hour therapy trial aims to ease trauma for assault survivors

Summary

This study is testing a new, single-session therapy designed to help college students who are struggling emotionally after experiencing a sexual assault. Researchers want to see if this 2-hour therapy session can reduce symptoms of PTSD and depression. The study will enroll 45 Ohio college students who experienced assault 12 weeks to 5 years ago and are still having moderate symptoms.
