NCT ID NCT07056140
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether anesthesia residents who practice on a simulator before real patients are better at placing epidural catheters for labor pain relief. About 86 residents will be split into two groups: one gets simulation training plus a lecture, the other learns only on real patients. The goal is to see if simulation leads to more successful placements and fewer complications.
