Scientists hunt for clues to predict sickle Cell's most debilitating pain
NCT ID NCT06139510
Summary
This study aims to find out what factors predict whether someone with sickle cell disease will develop severe, long-lasting pain. Researchers will follow 70 participants, aged 15-40, for up to four years, using surveys and pain sensitivity tests. The goal is to gather information that can help improve pain management and guide future research into non-opioid treatments.
