Summary

This study looks at whether sialic acid levels in blood and stool are linked to tumor size, stage, and the risk of leakage after colorectal cancer surgery. Researchers will review past patient records and also collect new stool samples for microbiome analysis. The goal is to find better ways to predict and prevent healing problems after surgery.
