Teen shoulder dislocation study halted after only 2 participants
NCT ID NCT04887337
First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if early shoulder surgery is better than rehabilitation for teenagers (ages 12-18) who dislocated their shoulder for the first time. The goal was to prevent future dislocations and improve pain and function. However, the study was stopped early after enrolling only 2 participants, so no meaningful conclusions can be drawn.
